I couldn't only do one piece for Zigra. No, not because the awesome couldn't be contained, but because I felt I needed to show off the design. On top of being an alien AND a kaiju, he's a goblin shark, so he exhumes weird. He's sort of a Super Sentai villain who is also the monster.

I worked a little bit of "Transformer" into him; the holes in his dorsal fins are a li'l nod to Sky-Byte. Plus, as the two pieces show, he "converts" from a "sea mode" to a "land mode" - and by convert, I mean he stands up. His legs extend/retract depending on which terrain he aims to occupy. I always saw him as something of a [wannabe] person of nobility, so in his "land mode", I gave him a bit of a pompous swagger, and his large "wing" fins hang down like a cape.

I originally wanted him to have mantis-like arms, to make him look even more alien. However, I felt that kinda went against the core of who he is. See, the only reason a being like Zigra has come into power is because he has a mind control ability, and he has enslaved countless beings in order to carry out his plans. As brilliant and sophisticated as he is in mind and personality, Zigra himself did not build a single thing in his empire, so giving him any kind of "hands" would give him some kind of credibility.

So yeah, this is all there is for now, but there will be more to come!
