It's kinda silly to look at it this way, but there was something very fitting about drawing a kaiju from b&w media on this type of paper.

Gomess is from Ultra Q (kinda sorta the Japanese equivalent of Twilight Zone or Outer Limits), the precursor series to Ultraman. Gomess is not only the first Ultra-series kaiju, but was made from a Godzilla suit that Toho rented out to Tsuburaya Productions, since Eiji Tsuburaya was their go-to guy for SPFX back then.
He also had a really great episode in ULTRAMAN X from a few years back.
