Check the MetaChron!

After watching a few videos on Trade Master Greenish's trade offers, there was one part in which gave me this idea: During your weapons/lander upgrades, the Melnorme trading ship "Inevitably Successful in All Circumstances"(yes, that is LITERALLY what their starship is named!), found an artifact called the MetaChron(the pyramid-shaped device) which has predicted its own demise and the Melnorme have only a few years to sell it. One detail that Trade Master Greenish mentions is that it may affect his well-being, because he keeps it under his pillow.
Hence this silly idea of him checking under his pillow to make sure the MetaChron hasn't darkened as of yet(since in the game, he says it's light gray when he tells you about it). No wonder it might affect your well-being, it must be terribly lumpy and bright!
Trade Master Greenish, the Melnorme race and Star Control 2 belong to Toys for Bob, no infringement is ever intended!
