Rhythms pound inside my head as melodies rise from my core
I long to sing of love and sorrow and many a long-forgotten lore
But when the music rises in me, and the tunes try to escape me
I find the sound to resemble banshees

Oh the torture of the feeling of a hundred drumbeats in me reeling
The sound of impossible beauty strikes within, thunderously pealing
How can what is beyond my reach become accessible?
How can I express the inexpressible?

Slowly now I start to sway as in my thoughts the melody plays
As the music swells, so does my heart and my eyes suddenly blaze
Here at last my soul is satisfied and across the floor I glide
As in silent song my message is cried
