During her teen years, Lori, looking to purchase her first bass guitar, walked into a pawn shop and saw a used, heavily-damaged Rickenbacker priced at $2.50. Believing this to be a steal, Lori purchased it, took it home, and gave it a refurbishing to the best of her ability, including new strings and a custom purple paint job. She then specifically tuned it to get, in her own words, "the dirtiest, grimiest, nastiest bass tone I could get", and dubbed it "Cinderella". This guitar would become Lori's main guitar to this day, and despite not being Satin's main bass player anymore, Lori still regularly practices bass-playing on Cinderella, much to the annoyance of her neighbors.
