Princess Sarah Elise Acorn (the name Sally came from a nickname for Sarah), and she once ruled over The Acorn Kingdom in the capitol of Soleanna with her father, King Maxious Acorn. Her life was as peaceful as it could be for a young princesses in till one day her father died in a freak lab accident and her mother had died years ago from an unknown disease, leaving her orphaned. After hearing the news, she ran away that night, afraid to take on her new responsibilities alone even though her older brother was there to help, she felt that it wouldn't be the same without her father. She left with simply a photo of her family, her family crest on a small pendent and a single shirt on her back.

She was all alone in the woods, cold and hungry in till she found another group of runaway kids in the heart of the forest that had somehow managed to built a couple of tree houses, with a poorly built shack underneath one of them. They saw how week and hungry she was so they took her in, fed her and after a couple of weeks they decided to let her stay with them and they gave her the nickname "Sally Bean", because she said she fell from a bean stock out of the sky and told them her name was Sally. This group of kids would later become the freedom fighters, that band together when they hear that Dr.Eggman is in there area, trying to conqueror Soleanna for himself and his fever dream, passion project, Eggmanland.

She doesn't tell them about her past or where she came from at all because she doesn't want her new found friends to think of her any differently from when they first found her. She tells everybody something entirely different to the point where even if she was ever tricked or slipped up while speaking, they wouldn't believe her anyway because of all the crazy tales she spins about her back story. It doesn't really offend any of them either, they see it as more of a joke at this point and will even join in with her and will add to the story, if she starts going off in front of a new person. She's a bit of a prankster, but only when the situation calls for such shenanigans, because she's there clever and cunning leader and they need her to lead the mission to victory against the enemy.

I've been working on this AU for a bit and I want to rewrite characters with more realistic personalities, for example; Sally doesn't want to tell the truth about her past so she makes a habit out of lying so much to the point her friends give up on getting the truth out of her and run with the "joke" when she starts talking to new people. Sometimes when at a young age people can form nervous habits like this, not necessarily a malicious act, more of a fearful one disguised with playfulness. I just think character with flaws are much more interesting, and to sorta give her more of a spunky personality compared to her older incarnations.
