My submission for the COTM from Draw With Jazza, The Legend of the Axe.
Hopefully a story can be visually crafted from this piece. But even so, I'll include a bit of what it is about:
In the depths of a cave lies a machine that provokes and threatens the lives of an old viking nation. Many warriors venture in to prove their skill and bravery. Those who go in perish. They and their weapons are transformed and made to comply to the machine's will. Unbeknownst to itself, the machine crafted a weapon of great power. Reclaimed by a noble warrior, it would be used to end the brutality of the machine, and henceforth be the symbol of power and virtue for centuries to come.

1st submission, it was fun and challenging, I really enjoyed the process and I look forward to the next COTM!

What an incredible painting! I love the colours and the forms of the people in the drawing! My only complaint is how everything is a little too dark. It's obvious that you tried to make it a somewhat mysterious and eventful scenario, but as I've said, it's just slightly too dark for me to see. Maybe that's just me, but who knows? Anyway, good luck on the challenge.

Thank you! Yeah, that was my concern when I uploaded it, it seems fine with my screen brightness up, but it may still be a little too dark. I'll have to see if I can change it or not
