You have potential and an interesting style.
Try to perfect it, especially the composition.
I would advise you to first focus on the fundamentals, volume, perspective, anatomy etc, before starting to do something more abstract, that way you will be freer to do what you want.
I advises you to use fewer and simpler shapes to design monsters. Learn more about color theory too, good luck :)
And also go see other artists, look at what's happening elsewhere, there are a lot of good artists on newgrounds, study their works, it will refine your own work
