some sort of creature that use some sort of host (dead or alive) as a shell, specifically using a long forgotten heroes corpse to drive of pray/predators
Either that or we got a void create on our hands

I was thinking a kind of mix of the two, creatures that traded there soul for void and also void kin "recycling" dead heroes and beasts to bolster there numbers
