From "Transformers Unlimited"!

A deadly air warrior & reconnaissance officer, Obsidian is able to concoct strategies with layers upon layers, all with the purpose of "defending Cybertron", as he would put it, despite his methods being vile and twisted. In his eyes, once power changes hands, so does he. Come to think of it, it seems that he only became a Mercenary to try to find a way to use the AllSpark Fractals to try and save Cybertron (despite the fact he's killing some folks to get to his goal).
