Reviews for "Heavenly Fields"

Nice job

Erm? What's the name of the real song again? it sounds so familiar..
Nice job on this one, all tough it sounds a bit strange sometimes..
Something with the rythm, I guess.

Cosmos8942 responds:

Oh I know that it sounds strange at points...but I think that adds to its charm at least a little bit. Anyhow, I forget the original name, I literally have no idea anymore, I would have to look it up.

Anyhow, thank you for the review, the comments and the high score. Always nice to see any of those three ^^;.

Mana

Lot of images conjured in my mind when this song looped through twice. I had pictures of your fields as you suggested and I felt it also took me to a star laden night sky to the inside of a Nobles house all the way to Breath of Fire 1 dragon town.

I think you did a good job remixin this one~ One question though. I'm not a musician and not sure of the dialogue. Is the word "Arranged" same as remix or no?

Cosmos8942 responds:

You listened to it twice?? :D:D:D:D

But as to the question you asked...arranged is only in a small part like a remix, but to arrange something is to make it yourself. So I say yes it is like a remix in the fact that it takes a song and adds what you can do with it yourself...but at the same time it is not like a remix due to the fact that arrangements are much of the time not a remix at all.

Really though, it varies depending on the person you speak to.

Thanks for the review! :]

Btw, that is quite the journey for just one song o.o.

Secret of Mana

Great stuff. Loved the secret of mana soundtrack! You forgot the name eh? thats not good lol. Really this is an interesting mix of that song. It sounds good. Though ya have to work on some of the mastering meaning some of the sound levels are to high for the instruments that would sound better in the background then the foreground. None the less great work on a song that i've always liked!

Cosmos8942 responds:

Another 8/10 XD, never fails...just you wait, I WILL get a 10/10 out of you :D.

But thanks for this review, I love reading reviews on the songs that I truly like, such as this one.

But yes, I did forget the name XD, but I like the title I put on it...it more or less fits. The mastering could use some work, but that could come later if I ever get around to redoing this one, especially now that I have FL 7! rawr :D

Thanks for the review and, of course, the program...its a big help :).

EDIT: Gotta love those spelling mistakes.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you... the title.

The song is called 'Fear of the Heavens' in the Secret of Mana OST. I would know. I was a nerd enough to get the OST. XD

Nice arrangement. I like the different things you did with it. (I'm comparing the version I have and yours XD ) I feel it's a little slow, though. If there's a way you can speed it up just a few bpm without changing the pitch. Then again, that could just be my biased for the original speaking there... P:

Cosmos8942 responds:

Hoho, funny how I miss some of these and just let them sit for months...=.=...ahem anywho. Mmm, I really didn't slow it down at all, could it be the combination of the instruments that is messing with you here? Seriously though, you are likely the only person that has compared this one with the original back to back and to say that you like it even though you OWN the OST is quite something for me ;p. Makes meh happy :D.

Cool,

Thanks for the review! Check out some of my other ones when you have the time eh? :D and man is this lagging bad, hope I didn't misspell anything =\
