It's simple, the second set of cards you are shown aren't even the same ones in the first set. The bet is that you'd be so amazed that your card wasn't there that you wouldn't think it.

Yeah why is it that when the first 6 cards came up for me they were: King Heart, Jack Diamond, Queen Club, Queen Diamond, King Spade and Jack Club, then the next 5 cards for me are Jack Heart, King Club, King Diamon, Queen Heart and Queen Spade. Where did my real left over 5 cards go, anyway hasn't this been on newgrounds like 7 times already?

It's one of those, as i mentioned in an other review of mine: The card deck appearing first, is replaced with new cards, no cards from the 1th deck stays, all of them is exchanged with new ones.
