There was a game called Break-Out! that was around before you were born. Any game of this style (DXBall, Blasterball, et al) is derivative of Break-Out! Morons.
Great version of Breakout
One of the best Breakout clones I've played. What bothers me is that so many people here apparently are unaware that Breakout even EXISTED. This game is NOT a "ripoff" of some game you saw. That game you saw is almost certainly a ripoff, too! They are ALL ripoffs, ripoffs of Breakout. People have been ripping off Breakout for years!!! Years upon years!!! It's probably THE most rippedoff game in the history of rippedoff games. Give it a rest!
Anyway, the hit detection is a bit off sometimes, but the added features and levels make this one of the best I've ever seen.
The only thing about breakout games
Is that they get really boring because you bat frikkin' air for 3 minutes trying to get the ball to one destination. Thank god for level codes!
