Reviews for "Hamlet, Act 1 Scene 4"

Admirable, but wanting

It's good to see the depth you're trying to put into your work, and your apparent comprehension of Hamlet and its depths. Inserted metaphors are fine. Unfortunately, this was a very, very ill use of them. The low graphical quality (not, I'll admit, that I can do much better) reduced them to a level practically laughable, and the metaphors were so deeply couched as to be entirely incomprehensible, and hence pointless. If you don't provide some clearer hints as to your meaning, it degrades to that level where the "revealed" meanings sound more like excuses. It's good to see some invested thought though.

Anal-Juice responds:

Appreciate your review. I realize the graphics aren't outstanding, nor the best of my ability, but the scene was meant mainly to express the mood of the scene in context with Hamlet's diverse character traits, rather than the visual representation.

Sorry you see the metaphors as incomprehensible, I guess they would be a little confusing to an outsider looking in.

Anyway, I always appreciate critism as long as the reviewer has an intellect higher than a 13 year old's "you suck".

Thanks.

I was expecting more, but...

I read your description before watching it, and it sounded very interesting. From the sound of it you probably showed this in class while explaining the symbolism aloud. I would suggest that you include the symbolism information in the movie itself. They don't stand apart very well. If you put the relevant information as popup information in clickable things, such as the moon, or Hamlet's hand, it would also add some good interactivity to this and make it a better piece. As it is now, I couldn't rate it as high as I would have liked, but my vote did raise its score. I had to give you high marks on style, though.

((( KINDA NEAT )))

Hey that was kinda neat, kinda slow but still neat, i like art kinda had alot of good shadowing and almost 3d like views, so notbad at all...

MOVIE COMMENTARY: Nice art...

~X~

...mmmkay...

Ive never seen Hamlet, and thanks to you i never will. But the Graphics was ok, so i give you a 2.

Hmm

I'm not exactaly sure what i was supposed to do. I clicked the castle and the ghost King appeared. Was that it? If so here are my suggestions:

-Have the spoken dialoge between Hamlet and his father. You don't need to animate any further except maybe mouth movement.

-Change the color of Hamlets hand, it doesn't fit the animation.
