Promising Start
Well it works certainly but it's a little bland. Some sound effects would help, also maybe a bit of death animation rather then just having "Game Over" pop up. But it's a start, maybe work on some new levels, enemies who fire back, and perhaps a boss and you'll have a winner.
A good try, but not problem-free
I like seeing new attempts at nice, plain shooters here and there. Good simple fun. But in this particular case, though it's still okay, there's some problems to be worked out. For starters, the music is absolutely headache-inducing. Normally I'd complain about lack of sound effects, but I think that would just make it fatal to listen to. Also, you can easily just avoid enemies by moving off the sides of the screen. And sometimes they still kill you even after you've shot them (which I guess might be PART of the point; as in, you have to shoot early. But that prevents last-minute saves). Add some borders, fix the music, add some sound effects, and maybe tweak the hit detection, and you're golden.
Cool game, could use a couple things though.
This has potential to be an awesome game, but I have a couple suggestions if they aren't too hard to do. You should have an autoscroll instead of moving forward yourself, there should be less missiles shot at once, and they shouldnt go through enemies, and there should be a boss. Other then that, I really liked this game a lot. I especially liked the background layering, and the fact that the clouds had holes where the ground was clearer. That was very cool. Hope to see more from you soon.
