Response to Crowbar in 'Bushie Jean'
A brilliantly original movie. I'm sorry to hijack this review board for political purposes, but this must be said.
Crowbar, you didn't tell us WHY Bush has done a great job with Iraq. Neither has the bloody government, with their failure to find any WMD. Don't give me that, "oh at least a fascist governement is out of power" crap. Does that mean that dislike of a foreign government's domestic affairs is enough grounds to start a war? How many wars will an ignorant, mindless flag-waving public support in a naive belief that they're doing 'good' in the world? Have you ever read 1984, crowbar? That is the sort of mindless patriotism that America is degenerating into.
This war may have dealt with one minor problem, but it has spurned innumerable others.
1. It has united the Middle East against America, and created thousands of converts for Osama, while removing his arch-rival (Saddam).
2. While this war is not primarily about oil, it has set precedent for future wars for material interest. These can now explained to an ignorant public using lame excuses like this one.
3. The United Nations and International Law have been sidelined. You US patriots might be happy now, but I warn you that you will not be the only superpower given 20 years or so. Globalisation, your creation, is creating some rising stars (China, India and to a lesser extent, the EU) who will challenge America for global dominance. This opinion is derived from none other than former US President Bill Clinton.
4. North Korea has been prodded into developing nukes. What kind of message has been sent to them? If you don't have weapons, look out, but if you do, you're safe from attack? Indeed, rearmament is looking a safer bet every day.
I don't care how short the war was, nor how few civilian or coalition casualties there are. I care about global consequences, which are going to be dire. If only the anti-war movement could be as brain-dead as Fox News, perhaps then we could cheerfully celebrate victory with our toothpick flags, and berate those "fucking treehuggers" for the unpatriotic pessimist bastards that they are.

That kicked some. It was well thought out, and sarcastic down to the last detail. I hope people appreciate how much of a kick in the face this is.
Great Stuff
As somone who was there for the whole thing, I thnk I'm in a pretty good position to rate this a 10. It perfectly captured how us military guys saw the media circus that led up to what could have been done without making us wait on our asses for 8 months.
