beautiful

I sense power through this song a power that is ancient and new. something that exists deep within us that only screams in the face of music. Also great loop

MaestroRage responds:

then you have sensed correctly. Abandoned, forgotten, weary. Some of the words in the story I wrote for the piece.

Thank you for the review s8nsangl, and your ongoing support. I apologize for the late response, i'm glad you liked it!

soooo....

why do some stupid iidiots who cant dance, cant sing and r fugly as hell make billions while all u get is recognition from NG? granted NG pwnz and they suck lolz.... but in a way i deem its unfair to u. u spend your time making something wondeful, while they just shake thi=eir ass or show of teh blingbling... your potential is ashtonishing, becuz your alrdy a world class composer in my thoughts, so with more time to devote to your true passion, what kind of masterpieces could you create? who knows, all i know is that i wuv u bro...

;)

MaestroRage responds:

:')

I'd hug you, but you being somewhere else, would only mean I crush my monitor, and that does nobody good. Especially the monitor.

As for making money, to be honest, I want to keep my music free to the public for however long I can. It is foolish to say I can do that forever, because I DO want to eventually make a living off it, but even then, any song I make purely for myself, will be free to the public!

And I can't dance/sing, I don't even have an ass to shake, and the closest I have to bling bling is this really shiny pen. So at least those guys have that over me :'(

Thank you for the review, I apologize for the late response :(!

Third and Final

Good piece, not too fast, not too slow. The flute gives it an ambient feel while the drums maintain a firm sense of intensity. A sense of good and evil almost.

The flute was very fitting and very well done. It really gave this song it's strength in a way. Despite the flute not being something as epic sounding as the drums, it still manages to achieve the effect.

Keep up the good work, hope you do well in the contest =D

MaestroRage responds:

hello Warchamp7!

It is a strange that you would bring up the flute as giving it the pieces strength. The original file did not intend to have a flute, in fact, it didn't have any kind of melodic layering. What you hear the first 22 or so seconds was pretty much it, with percussion and chord differences along the way.

Thankfully I decided last minute it needed something more, and put on the flute. I am glad I made the right choice, thanks to the opinion of a few friends.

Thank you for the review, I am glad you liked it, thanks again for the luck!

Another excellent piece

This is another piece that warrents full marks from me. Your work is continuing to get better and better all the time maestro. This piece seems to be about the middle ground between Rage of the Champions, which had power and was highly dramatic, and Into that Gentle Night, which was calm and full of sad emotions. This piece has the dramatic tones of the afore mentioned song and the emotion of the second one, coupled with a calm meter and beat. It is excellent.

This piece makes me think of an epic journey from safety into darkness. No warrior would wish such a journey, and yet many must undertake such a quest. It is often the defining event that seperates a hero from the rank and file. Having the courage to take such a journey is often the very definition of the word hero.

Sorry the mental images were not very descriptive this time around, I have had a very busy day. Anyway, good work on this Maestro, keep it up.

MaestroRage responds:

I appreciated your description of a hero Denver. For it is completely true. There are many heroes who are strong up to a certain point, after which their resolve wavers and they lose their ability to conduct themselves. To be able to jump into any situation with your heart full of courage and resolve is truly the definition of a hero. Of course, jumping blindly into the situation is the definition of a martyr :/.

I am glad you wrote anything imagery wise, anything, even a little bit is enough for me to dwell upon. So please don't apologize, it was appreciated none the less.

I am also glad you feel my work is getting better. Though it has been brought to my attention that I do not make many forms of music. It is always bitter/sad/angry/hate filled/tense/ambient. I do not have too many relaxing, and even less happy oriented ones. It's time to change that. I hope to be able to make some of those in the near future!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Very well done.

You can easily picture the sadness in this piece, as well as many of your other pieces. You are definitely talented. It seems that each piece you work on shows emotion. I love how each one tells a story. It inspires me to create my own, and I love it.

Anyways, I know this may be a bit late (more like a year late) but Welcome back! It really saddened me when I found out that you had left a year ago. I really loved your music, and I was surprised when I found you had come back. You and your music are my inspiration. I look forward to your upcoming pieces and the stories they will tell.

PS: You'll get nothing but 5's out of me ;)

My hats off to you good sir.
~hasonish

MaestroRage responds:

hello hasonish! I am glad these pieces have been able to inspire you! They are with this intention that I make them, alongside the hope they will entertain you, and take you away to another place if only for another minute!

I appreciate the warm sentiments, even if they are a year late, I hope to stick around for much longer this time.

As for the stories, I used to be a big writer, and was nearly finished my second novel, however I decided to one day to try and tell a story through music, and I was hooked ever since. Every single one of these pieces originate from an image, a story, a raw feeling. Anything else sounds empty to me.

I am grateful for your support, thank you for the review, the support. I am glad you liked this piece alongside the others!
