Not bad.
It starts off really slow and that's what got to me. Otherwise though, it's an awesome remix of an awesome song of an awesome boss. Awesome xD

The main part of the song should have started way sooner, but said main part was great. Well done.

It's kinda funny that in the game, this is the one song you couldn't get as a music Sphere. And I liked it cause it was so unique and trippy. I thought FFX was the easiest one I ever played. I'll have to get back to that boss fight to see how close of an interpretation this is, but stand alone, it's a pretty funky beat.
IMO you should split this track
The intro is good as a standalone and you could definitely do something interesting with it (think The Oath from FFVIII). I find the main part doesn't gel with the slow intro at all and definitely needs more "oomph", it could do with being its own track. Throw away the dreadful soundfont that comes in at 0:57 and find something better as a replacement.
Giving this a 9 because it has potential.
