That is a really twisted chicken. I really love the detail you put into this. The wrinkles above the beak and around the eyes were very well done. The eyes also look really, really good. They have a very natural looking blend of blue; props, man. And just like bloo-apple, I totally want those shoes.
The only legit critique I have is about it is the lighting. While the lighting itself is done well, (same thing with the shading); I just think that a light source needs to be established a little bit more. Due to the light around his sides and underneath his body. it looks like the light should be coming from the back, but the largest amount of light is right above the largest amount of shading, (which works, due to the contrast).
But no matter. This is a great. Great job. I look forward to seeing more of your work on the front page!
