- To save some time and effort, it would be a good idea to use some separate layers. You should put the background on a different layer from the characters so that you don't have to do the retouching of the ground and such when something mixes with it. Being on a separate layer will make clean up easier and you can avoid leaving behind traces of erased drawings.

oh my god. how the fuck did that make it past the verdict. I'm not being big headed. but i have submitted stuff 10 times better than that, and it was fucking blammed in about half an hour! fuck sake. WHY DID THIS MAKE IT THROUGH THE VERDICT! good idea though :)... :/
