Reviews for "[F-777] Aqua Dream"

Pretty good

I'm not that big on dance music but i do like music with a spacey feel. Nice job.

yay

It's a very chill track. One problem that stood out, was that although everything was sweet and one could really dance to it, the drums just.. stayed there, and were kinda too loud. A little more variation there would be sweet :D
It's just the standard four to the floor deal ><

I like that arping square synth. It helps add to the watery feeling.

That pad definitely has that aquatic dream feeling to it.

If I had this song playing while I was underwater in the ocean, I'd definitely have a trip.

Aqua indeed.

I get a very nice vibe from the introduction. I hope the rest of the song doesn't give me too much to critique.

Plus:
Dance? Hell yes this is dance music. Solid groove, and it's slow enough so you can actually dance to it. The pads and everything are actually at a nice volume.

I enjoyed the diversity in this track, seeing as you took the effort for things to sound at least a LITTLE different than the rest of the song.

Minus:
It's too generic. Bass on the offbeat, soft pad in the background, hard lead complementing the sine/square melody... nothing new here. It sounds nice, but you're not really going to grab the attention of anyone with this, I'm sad to say. Try listening to some other genres (metal, Drum 'n Bass, breakbeat, etc) and try to get an idea of what you could do in the dance genre to make it different.

The drums are also too loud for a mix like this. The song is soft with a minimal melody, and the drums are pounding. I guess the contrast would be called "nice" by other people, but even if everyone did like the way-too-loud drums, they aren't diverse. There are no breaks that contribute to the song or anything; just a steady beat. Try changing that in the future :)

Other than that, good job. You should go and review my newest track, "Peace Brings Pain". I think it'd only be returning the favor, seeing how I wrote you a nice helpful review.

Keep it easy;

:D!

The beginning of the song wasn't very dance like. In fact I was even beginning to wonder "Does he mean underwater slow dancing?! Because that image gave me a giggle. Do the moonwalk, try not to float up!"

Then the song picked up it's energy levels to an appropriate setting.

That vox you had in there somewhere, BRILLIANT! I loved the texture it gave the song.

The heavily reverbed percussion beats served this song well. I felt because it was so loud, it should have become more varied. Like this it gets a little tiring only because it grabs so much of your attention.

The bubbly quick high echoed synth notes complimented that underwater feel.

I think this is indeed one of your best works yet! It's my personal favorite of yours right now in any case! It's also very diverse with it's sounds, save in the department of percussion.

Good stuffs! Keep up the good fight F-777!
