Smooth.

For some odd reason this reminds me of my earlier works -- Melody driven that is. You did a great job at sample selection and how you decided to carry those samples out.

Despite some of the choppiness and muddiness, you have the idea.

I think the only thing to regret with simpler or last minute drums would have to be that their effect withers away with listens. I think this would have been a fine song with just raw melody until you revised it with something more fitting, if you still felt like drums.

thanks for the review erkie. yea i loved me opening synth on this, it ate up a shitload of my ram just for that as well. twas crazy. glad you like the sound choices and the implementation of them, i tried to glad them as much as i could make them intertwine.

hehe drums, as you well know, are my achilles heel. If i could be arsed i'd spend as much time making music as i would developing drums, but i can't be. it's a flaw in my musical make up that i do the bare minimum when it comes to drums. so you're right on the button there.

Oh yeah!

I enjoyed this track very much man. The opening get's you hooked instantly. The beat after was simple, yet it delievered the message of the song.

The drum samples itself were ok, though, they could use a little more tweaking but thats quite all I have to say here.

The overall sound was pleasing - at least on my ears. ^^

Perfect track to let a day pass by. Great work dude!

Hey Darkside, Glad you liked thr track, the opening was as mentioned earlier done in crystal after a lot of faffing about. Yea tis a simple beat, laziness on my part, always is with beats.

The samples are FL stock samples, tho a bit of reverb seems to help with the snare, maybe a bit of overdrive would've suited this track in retrospect.

Nice track

Good work all around - synths are nice, the timbres of your instruments are all good. Not much going on with the percussion but I guess that's alright - everything else makes up for it a bit.

Hmmm

Hello Pitbull, thought I might review this here song. This definitely is an interesting song you got here.

I really love that broken synth sound in the beginning. Sort of off, and mesmerizing.

Some accompaniment comes in, real nice. Is that a distorted violin? It sort of was tough on my ears in a few spots, but still had a interesting sound to it.

My only really big problem with this song is well the drum-work. It was a bit simplistic for my tastes. Also I think you should add some cymbals or hi-hats too.

Overall swell work my good man.

hey ho sine rider sir. Yea i love that opening synth too, i used crystal for it, morphed a couple of patches and keep morphing til this one emerged, it's just the very first bit of the patch the rest is horrendous but tis very nice innit.

It is a distorted string, the chamber strings setting from Rhino, distorted and filtered with Northpole which is one of my fav plugins for sound mangling.

yea drums aint my forté i tend to do short loops that work but need more variation, it's laziness on my behalf that, i'd much rather a live drummer than working with FL.
