i think maybe because it was all tied together by that one apple guy flying around. the leg tweening is truly reminicent of monty pythons flying circus, yes.
but turn the volume up on the voices! the grumbling and ranting of the characters is essential to the humor!

Very funny, I love "cut-out" animations like yours, they give humor to serious things. However don't let this power go to your head, or you shall find yourself in the same place as many others.

That was good execution of a well-used technique but it just seemed to lack something. An item I'm failing to put my finger on.
What you did was technically excellent but the movie, for me anyway, lacked that element Gilliam had back with the Python gang. That total sense of the bizarre. This isn't so much a criticism of you as praise for him. Maybe you just haven't fucked your head up quite enough with the mind-bending power of ze drugs ;)
In any case, you've put together a fine string of images and sound effects and I don't really know what more it was that I was hoping for. Anyway, I do look forward to your further attempts at this sort of animation as I'm sure they'll only build on what's been done here. A good effort!
