Good animation, but a bit boring.

I think you did an excellent job with the graphics. They seem very original, and being hand drawn and not stolen gifs are a big plus. I thought the sound was good, and the style that you used was good for the type of movie it was supposed to be, but oh god it was boring. I'm sorry man, but I had to shut it off after they argued over what the guy wanted to drink for like 3 minutes straight. It doesn't sound like a lot, but when you sit there doing nothing but watching this Drew Carrey Alien looking thing decide what kind of drink he wants.....well, I turned it off. I also really couldn't read the text too well, and sometimes they were very hard to understand. If I could give this movie an "attention-catching" rating, I'd give it a 0.

I'm sorry for the crappy review. You have a real talent for flash, but I think you need to work on catching the attention of the dorks like me who can't sit through the beggining of the movie without any humor or action ;)

First off: That scene is only one minute. Your computer must be really slow. And second: It's a good thing you get to hear some new dialects from Europe. The French Bartender said "Coque au Vin" which means "Rooster in Wine" and then he joked with the words. Third: Big misstake turning it off, the funny things that was biulding up was just about to happen! And on your computer it would probably have been like a full length movie!

The easter egg thing was a bitch... It wasnt worth it as much as i thought i would be either. I thought you'd get a peek at superbabe's titties or something..HEH. Other than that the animation was good, sound was good, and i see a plot developing... Nice work, keep it up.

good drawings, but just boring and pointless

Drawings, animation, sound and everything were fantastic but i didn't see any point to it, and it got really boring, i dunno maybe if it was actually about the "pirates" taking over the center of the universe and not focused on weather or not the guy was going to drink his grog and become a black hole then it would have been more exciting, but ur really good at flash

It is about the pirates in the long run but this is just the first episode with some character build up!

I enjoyed the animation by itself - your drawing style is very unique, and it was humorous in a very non-Newgroundsy way...but then I went back and read the book! I don't know much about the creative process for making a good Flash movie, so it was a great insight into everything. I was especially glad to see you recorded the music by yourself - it's good, and I was going to ask you who did it. It fits the movie perfectly. Please continue the series!

Thanks. Yes, creating a Flash movie of this calliber (spell check) takes alot of time and energy and there are many, many stages before it is complete. I'm now on stage two on the second episode. This stage is called Story Boarding and Brain Storming.

i gave you a 4 but you lost my attention...i was waiting for something fun to happen...but honestly it bore me...i didn't finish watching it. Many others like it...but i find it to be ok
