Good luckf

Way beyond my interpretation of a Pico feel... but really what is it? No one will ever know.

I think the idea is to capture the NG sound which is impossible not to do because we audio artists are as much of Newgrounds as Pico himself, so no matter what we create we have to have the Pico feel. In that case you get a 10/10 for Pico feel ;)!

I like the Admiral's comment on you working the pad like a French whore. He's right and I can't say it any better. The buildup is nice and would be flawless if it looped perfectly - Damn mp3s! Oh well I can still imagine a .wav version and it sounds just fine.

I don't like to write short review, as you might already know, but this is a short and simple loop. Plus I have bias as I plan entering the contest myself. This all combined leads me with little to say, so with that I again wish you good luck. Since this was a lame little review, feel free to PM me if you want another. Just suggest a song you want some feedback on and I'll be sure to check it out.

I like writing reviews - what can I say? -HybrisHybrid

haven't I heard this before

I think at least I've heard it before. I don't know what.

Good sine in here, it's a little low but makes the track seem more digital and fnfnahff

The lead you used was good too, sounds pretty hard and growling. The drums are awesome, energic and ongoing. Hats, a little unsure about that. I was expecting some kind of breakout where all the hell broke loose but I guess there wasn't enough space for that D:

Envy responds:

Well it was supposed to be a really slowed down tempo song, but I'm no good at those so I had to speed it up with something, so I threw a bunch of hats in there. I tried a completely different style than ALL of my other songs in this one.
Glad you enjoyed it (I think) ^.^

Pretty Smooth.

Would go great with a quiz game man!

bump bump bump bump

Judging this as a pico piece, I'm not sure, because I haven't yet figured out what it means to write a pico slow song.

However, on it's own merits:

I really like where this song could go, it feels like it's built up a really cool atmosphere, for a really sick melody to come in and just work that pad like a french whore, but I guess with 60 seconds to work with, we're left to wonder. Bah, another good artist that I have to pay attention to now! haha

Envy responds:

hoohoo, I really like this song, just cause I like how calm it is. I have no idea what pico song means either, so this was a ballpark guess. Thanks for the review!

Cool for 'light' schmup but build/drop annoys.

I don't like loops with build-up/drop down generally.

This has a cool 'flying' vibe. Some of the melodies are kick-ass and it could work for a short movie.

I'd love to use something with this vibe in a scrolling flying shooter, but as mentioned, I kinda feel the build/drop ruins a loop, making it more a 'loop' of a short piece of music than a constant stream of background music, as a good loop should be imo.

Something about melody and the instruments you used makes me enjoy listening to it despite that problem though.

Envy responds:

Well this was just for a loop contest type thing. I took a part from a whole song I have that i uploaded under a different name. The song is a bit longer with a longer intro.
Thanks for the review
