Reviews for "_-={This Frozen Land}=-_"

"The song is quite Serene."

I love how you made this, the male, and female choir really supports that flute. The flute seems to take a pretty nice lead out in the beggining, those chimes were 100% clarity right when I heard it, you could listen to it's pure quality sound perfectly, and for the finishing touches was your piano, could have been a bit louder in my opinion, but it did play it's job well! I hope to hear more of that flute, you really know how to play it. How I wish I could become like you. I berely have the time to compose now, it's like having 6-8 hours of homework here everyday. Well done my good friend, please Private Message me for your next submission. 5/5'd

MaestroRage responds:

I'm glad you didn't find the chimes too loud quickshot, it seems that the common census is that they are. I really should watch out for volume levels better, get some better earphones.

I love that flute too, don't worry you will hear more of it ;).

Same here my good sir :(. Homework, real life issues... it's getting too time demanding, but with the spare time I find, I make.

I will pm you the next song that comes out, thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it ;)

Frozen in Time

Long time no type, = P.

Actual makeup of song:
Although, I can easily tell how this can be relaxing for something like a flight sim, it almost sounds remorsefull to me. I'll admit, I was surprised to not see an overwhelming string sound (alhtough there are some strings, that were well done), XD. Piano was beautiful..some of it's parts reminded me of some MMD =*P. This is a great thing, for as you know, he could very well be the best here at portraying pure emotion, your the story man for me = ). The choir also had a wonderful effect, but the flute was a HUGE part of the piece. The flute, was just as wonderful as the piano to me (except for that I like the piano as a instrument more). The piano part at 1:55 was AWESOME, it gave me some extreme sensations I can't explain..almost..icey ; ).

STORY TIME! (An unspecified amount of time after Constituting Realities).

As we enter the scene we see a hero, just staring into the icey cold night, frozen in thought, thinking of the once was hero he had beloved. As his memory of his great friend grew darker and darker, he thinks to himself about what happened, what could have happened, what will happen...what MUST happen. He now visualizes his once was ally, standing over him as a friend in the light, reaching down to pick him up....but then, the lighting starts turning a deep icey blue, and as the glare of the sun fades, it reveals that not the heros hand is reaching down for help, but his sword is striking down in greed. Startled, our hero jumps as if it was really happening to him, falls from his seat on the ground to his back...and somone approaches from behind. A female hero, whom takes a seat next to our almost crying hero. Not quite making eye contact, she looks just past him, and somehow provides what little comfort that is acquirable. Laying her hands to her side now, she also stares upward, and a tear starts down her cheek...about halfway...and freezes in the cool night, not from temperature, but emotion. They look over to his tent...then sulk their heads down...
Now the rest of the heros approach, and take similar actions...but each in their own remembrance...
Making a final stare at the somehow unforgivable night moon, of a cloudless sky, they take their last memory of him, and remember it, for he is changed, they cant compare the new enemy of greed to the once great leader...he is gone...Frozen in Time.....

I know this is probably VERY different from anything you've gotten as a story, or anything you were going for...although like I said, for a flight sim...INCREDIBLY relaxing, in fact, it even greated a relaxed scene for me..just a sadder one. GREAT WORK, love your refound glory of the piano, 5/5, hope to get to the next review later tonight ^^.

MaestroRage responds:

You write as if the old leader has been slain...

:'(

I guess to them, he died that night. Replaced his shining guidance to a blinding greed.

I liked one line you wrote very much

"she also stares upward, and a tear starts down her cheek...about halfway...and freezes in the cool night, not from temperature, but emotion"

this made me think back and contemplate so many things. A tear, frozen not from what the outside world has done to her, but more so from the cold she emits from herself. So deep and dark her sorrow, so cold her heart then it is to the degree damaging to her surrounding simply by being there.

A fascinating prospect.

This was in fact very different from what I was thinking, but I am glad all the same that you did what you did. A very interesting turn of events!

I miss MMD :'(

he's a great guy, I should go bug him more often. Maybe convince him he's gotta come back, cuz he's all too cool for school.

Thank you for the review Magi, as always greatly appreciated. I'm glad you liked the piece ^^.

*Also, I do have this new love for the piano. My next hope is to fall in love with some woodwinds other then the panflute, which has thus far successfully filled the bill for any other woodwind i'd want.*

can't think of a long story for this one

i get the feeling of a few friends returning from war sometime in the high of winter, seeing the beauty that would have escaped them before the war.

this reminds me of something...

This reminds me of the end of the god of fir.....loki i can imagine the end but i cant describe it
its that great

stories spring to mind...

A group of soldiers, weary from their long fight, trudge over the frozen hills, their guns slung across their back. A light snow is falling, slowly covering everything in white. Looking behind them, they see a land that they will never forget, a place where they lost so much.

Although their unmatched courage will be honored and read about for generations to come, their only hope is that one day, they may find their way home, and forget that all this ever happened.

Upon coming home, they discover that all that they knew and grew up with was destroyed when they were gone.

This song is depressing...

MaestroRage responds:

that was a rather depressing story :(. Thank you for it though, it matches quite closely with the song. Thanks again for the review!
