very nice

wow im glad i came to your page. this was a very nice piece. relaxing indeed. kind of reminded me a bit of Joe Hisaishi especially the soft piano. what program do you use if you don't mind me asking? the flute sounds were great. my only recommendation would be to try and make the piano less programmed sounding unless you are trying to get that video game style sound in which case it works.

anyhow, the first song i submitted is a classical one. id be interested in knowing what you think and if you have any ideas on how to finish it.

5/5!

MaestroRage responds:

I've never heard of Joe Hisaishi... but now I must find out who this artist is! I love landscape music like this, and if he does the same, then i'm totally there!

I use Fruity Studio's for my compositions, however the sounds you are hearing have nothing to do with Fruity (which serves only as a host program), the sounds you are hearing are VST's, from East West that is pretty much a library of high quality samples.

The piano does sound programmed, I had to use a rather lower quality one as I don't have the RAM to host all these instruments plus the 400MB piano :(

I'll definitely check out your submission.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Brrrrrrr. Thats cold.

Another F**king good piece.

MaestroRage responds:

Exactly what I needed

This is an amazing piece and coincedently, just what I needed for the portion of a story I am writing. I needed something to inspire me to write a winter-themed story and this is it. Thanks much for that. Now then, lets get down to brass tack shall we?

The beginning of the song makes me think of a sunny sky, with just the barest veil of cloud over the sun. Then the woodwind instrument came in (panflute maybe?) and it sketched out a perfect landscape of snow and ice in my head. The strings that came in at 0:54 complemented the image very well, as if it were snowing. The duet of flutes that came in once the strings went quiet made me think of a traveler striding in the lightly fallen snow, his footprints the only sign of life in the wilderness. Then the piano coming in made me think that he stopped, looking up and watching the snow fall. The chior coming in made me think that the view was zooming out farther and farther until he at last vanished into the snow.

Thanks for the inspiring piece maestro. I would really appreciate more pieces of this nature. Thanks again.

MaestroRage responds:

The instrument is a panflute! Keen ear you've got there ;).

You're imagery is spot on, clear skies, sparse clouding, the ground a man would stand on is whiter then the cloudiest days.

I rather enjoyed the imagery where he stood and the view zoomed out from him, leaving him as he was before the image ever started.

I'm glad you found the piece inspiring, I have a few more pieces like this coming soon!

Thank you for the review, again, i'm glad you liked it Denver ^^.

Hmm

MaestroRage huh?

What happened to you quiting music? Thought thats why you quit Aura core... w/e, that's not cool.

Nice music btw.

MaestroRage responds:

It's a very long story Tarienn, here is the URL explaining the full story. I'm sorry if I angered you.

I didn't quit the core because I was quitting music. I quit the core, because I was running out of time, and I didn't want to make you promises I couldn't keep. I didn't want to let you down again and again. I hope you understand, it was by no means some kind of personal vendetta against you or anything.

Thank you for the review, once again, I apologize for the inconvenience. I am fully willing to be a freelance composer for your needs, I simply do not have the time to be fully "employed" if you will.

Great work Maestro!

Another great song from you Maestro. I definitely like this song. Sorry for such a short review, I'm just no good at writing this sort of stuff. :D

MaestroRage responds:

Thats alright Xavier, thank you for coming out to show your support, that in itself is enough for me :D.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!
