Yeah.
While the plot has been done, it's not often anything on NG has any clout. Yeah. I guess you read any one of the post-modern "big brother = bad" books. Brave New World, The Giver, 1984... etc. etc. or watched any of the many movies that play off the idea. It was cute.

Some other voters recommended that book, too. I didn't read it before I wrote this, but I see the similarities. It's a good book.

Undoubtedly, this is one of the better things on new grounds. The graphics are unique and the sound is atmospheric, and this movie actually has a message although its not a terribly original one. Yes, we are victims to socializational constraints and have become creatures of approximate knowledge and will power.
The reason I couldnt give you a ten is that this movie is painful to watch in its entirety, it is wayyyyy too long for a newgrounds short and tedious at times. Chapter one could have been skipped altogether, or you could have done it in two parts. I feel bad giving you 9 because I know the effort was remarkable and by all means, if this were a class, youd definitely get an A+. I just found myself bored throughout a lot of it, and I couldnt wait for the end.

What a great storyline and animation to boot. That's all I can say. Sadly, this is the course our society seems to be on right now, andyou've stated it perfectly. We're all being raised with pills being cure-alls, but even with the usage of pills, we won't be able to use them to find true happiness. That's not something that can be given by a pill. Thanks for making something so poignant!
