Reviews for "Final Fharmacy I"

Really fun. Love it. Exciting and quick. If you made an entire game like this I would buy it for sure.

Weird that I have "made it through winter", perfects for every day in fall, and no "made it through fall" medal.

Excellent game in concept and even in execution. Good job.

I do wish there was a "retry" after the final battle since I've been playing it over and over trying to save everyone AND the dragon.
By around day 15 I start to really dislike that there's only the one alembic and mortar and only the 2 cauldrons, but "eh." Clearly some people have beat it despite these limitations, so guess I just have to "git gud". Maybe if I shrink the window so that there's less long dragging all the way across the screen. (I'm starting to hate you for putting the alembic all the way in the upper left, and mushroom in the middle when it's used the least, but the mortar is placed in the right spot)

Cheers! Yeah, I think I need to change the medals to constantly reward once you've reached the goal instead of only rewarding at the goal: perhaps there is a connection issue that is causing it to fail. Apologies, and I still think you win just for playing, haha. Good point about optimizing the location of the tools: I made the herb, feather and honey at the start to help since they are components for the healing potion, which is used a lot, but I didn't think deep enough about the other ingredients placement and the tools. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback!

i was not expecting to have that much fun HAHA but i did. great frenzy! i think it was good that it did not pause when you opened your alchemy book, i mean if this were a situation in real life, you can't pause!! so it was very stressful, but that added to the fun. my only suggestion would be to add a button to go back to the main menu or retry the level (mainly to retry for my efforts to get perfects) which i did end up doing for all the levels, but had to memorize the recipes in order to do so!!! but i didn't get the medals :( might be an error on my end tho idk

great stuff :)

FutureCopLGF responds:

Cheers! Glad the intention of the book not pausing and dealing with the frenzy worked out for you: it was a risky decision to keep it in but I do like the fun it brings. I did miss out on the simple things like a retry button: I'll see if I can remember those things for future releases. Sorry about the medals: I probably need to make the call to award them multiple times to ensure it gets through and there are no connection problems: you're a winner in my book, though, if it helps!

Game was hard, but I beat all the endings. I adored this game! Also, jesus, my arm is so sore.

excellent job, fun music and decent progression with the potion complexity. The recipe book shows a lot of foresight in being simple enough to flip through constantly. I like the story mode and the fact you can just drop full portions by rushing. The sprites leave a little bit to be desired and I think the definitive edition of this game would be a little higher res so there's even distribution of pixels throughout every aspect on screen(the items at the bottom row are equally detailed to the room above, treat the whole screen like it has a specific number of pixels to display everything so the art instantly becomes more consistent).

P.s. thank you for what you do in your review livestreams on youtube

FutureCopLGF responds:

Cheers! Thanks for the detailed feedback, and thanks for all you do as well! I agree that the graphics not being consistent in pixel size is a bit wonky for the purists: there was a lot of scaling and rescaling after the initial drawing which led to that inconsistency which could've been fixed if I planned better at the start. I'll look into the Unity pixel-perfect camera stuff for next time, perhaps.
