Heres a tip, in the beginning of this song; try to pick a different instrument, you could still make it electronic in different ways. That whatever electronic instrument is what makes the ears bleed because it sounds a broken old violin played super loud. Its similar to the instrument in the beginning of "I Love You All", and think of it like playing a trumpet as loud as you can, when you play loud it sounds uneven, out of tune and also makes you ears bleed; except a little less extreme.
And its not exactly lack of base, its that its high end is extremely loud and destroys the right balance between bass and the other end.
