Wow.
I really enjoyed this; I even felt sorry for the girl conflicting the demons of her past. In many ways I can relate to her, as I bet we all could.
Whether the winged apparition represents a drug addiction, the sorrow of a lost loved one, or your own feelings of self-inadequacy and simple feeling of not mattering at all (which is true, look at my name)-we've pretty much all been there. Sometimes this leads to the inevitable fall of one's own self and utter will to live and which is represented by the girl falling to the earth. She wasn't strong enough to carry on, so she ended her life (I think she did, myself) which is such a pity. Sure, life sucks; it sucks for everyone, but there's no need to give up on it quite yet and besides suicide is the coward's way out. Nevertheless I empathized with the protoganist of this film.
The above is just my opinion; I could, perhaps, be reading too much into it.
Glad you liked it. :) Yes, you've hit the symbolism pretty much on the head. She is, as you figured it, going through those feelings of inadequacy and pressure put on her from other people. Sigh.. angst..
Trully great.
I love your work, this is my favorite -Even if I knew how to use flash I couldn't have done this better myself-very powerful...
