Reviews for "Rise Your Sword"

really nice.

sounds almost peacufull at the begginning, but it starts to sound more... epic.
almost like a storm brewing.

really really good peace of work

sorohanro responds:

thanx for review and good mark
is building the tension, is more like the begining of the battle
and the battle ... well, betwen coreography and fight ...

glad you like it

Calmly Intense

I don't see it as the fighting scene I see it as preparations for the fight. The soldiers all getting ready, ready for what? They don't know... ready to die, they hope not. They can only hope to see the next day and hate to the choice of ending someone else's tomorrow. I loved this audio I really did, you moved it so well and I must say you've moved me. I can only hope to see more from you.

Sincerely,
The-Great-One

"The soldiers all getting ready, ready for what? They don't know... ready to die, they hope not."
well, that was made for a theatre play and ... they all die in the end ...
so much for hope :))

glad you like it (i have more)

Amazing

While I have to admit it's not the best I've ever heard of this type, it's damn near perfect. This music very accurately relays the anxiety that soldiers in ancient times awaiting a battle might feel, and has been described in very old texts. It is definitely very "epic", as many have already described. You are a very good composer. I would like to know if you've posted what you feel is your best composition on Newgrounds, and if so which it is. I feel obliged to learn something of what you feel is good music, as I am also a composer, and want to learn from your example. You inspired me, gay as that sounds.

sorohanro responds:

well, thanx for your words
i posted here several things, most of them are earlyer works, some things that were used in some theatre plays that are not played anymore :(
also some new projects, more jazz/ funk/ fusion
from "Classical" i guess "Ice Princess (Longest December)" is my favourite from my stuff, on "Ambient" i have "Impressions from Vilnius" and on "Jazz" i have "Thracian Jazz"... that is what i consider more interesting from my stuff
Also "The Voice of Reason" and ... i don't quite know ...
i like some musicians here on NG, i can recomend :
No1r, Yosmil, Winterwind-NS ... well, just take a look on y favourites, you'll see there good artists ;)

Awesomeness!!

Oh Man! What a talent, i can feel the suspense even here! it feels very epic, if u know what i mean... ; )

btw: 5/5 isn't enough lol...

sorohanro responds:

thnax very much
it is epic, at least it should ... is about the tension before a battle

Nice

Listening to this almost makes me want to sit down and code an rpg simply to include this as the ending battle track. Amazingly stirring work.

sorohanro responds:

Well, you can make a WW2 shooter ;) that would fit also there.
Thanx for review.
