Reviews for "Rise Your Sword"

Tense and Brutal

The previous reviewer has a point, as this could easily fit a World War II battle scene quite well. A thematic statement in the beginning of the track, solemn and heroic without overdoing it, then the battle begins, using parts of the theme as background for the percussions (which are awesome by the way). What I love about this song is that it really creates a dark, tense, brutal atmosphere rather than abusing the usual heroic scoring.

sorohanro responds:

Hey thanx
very nice review, I tried to describe the feelings of tension before the battle and I guess human nature and feelings are "timeless" (I guess that is the right word but my english ...)
there are some new tracks also orchestral, you might like ;)

More likely the start of an Epic Battle...

I can place this in a Call of Duty game this would be great music for the beggining of a really awesome battle.

sorohanro responds:

thanx, guess you're right, you're not the only one saying this ;) (even that i see swords and knights on it)

To me, it's Rise your Gun

I picture the opening few scenes of Blackhawk own where everyone is being arried into the middle of the crossfire. Still it's awsome! I'm gonna use it in my new archery range game, okay?

sorohanro responds:

glad you like it
feel free to use it
thanx for review and 10*

o.O i'm on edge

Hehe, you conveyed this battle tension so well, i'm looking around for the charging enemy O.O. Like there's the slightest bit of glory in the beginning around 0:15, then it shifts into something a little more aggressive at 0:30, then it finally breaks into the evilish, dark, foreboding tentacles of warrish thing at 0:58, the theme that appears at about 1:10, works in this feeling of apprehension, and the climax at 1:27-ish with the cymbals and the strings ( i think?) was crazy. When it ended, it was like "Here they Come!" Lol, sorry, I have quite an imagination XD. And so do you, I can see (hear). Great job, I went through quite an array of images and emotion listening to this. I guess my favorite part was how you opened up with that drumming and then the bass drums between 0:50 and 1:00. Awesome, awesome, I really enjoyed this.

My thoughts...

And my coughing. XD Ahck. Lol. Painful. X) So many thoughts. Kind of. >,> First off, I know why it reminded you, but I can't accurately explain why. X) Second, that's not gay, inspiration is an emotion, and stuff like that. X) Emotion is good. :P Especially used for good reasons. :D If you can't understand that, then it's probable you don't deserve to be a musician. X) And damn, the emotion I felt from all those songs you listed off and whatnot. So much excitement. XD It made me a bit weary, and cough quite a bit too. X) Damned scratchy throat. XD Lol. :D A very great song. :) I might use this in A Half-Breed's Requiem (the actual thing), if you give me permission and all that stuffs. >,> Lol. Please? X) I just realized - my word, awesomeness, and stuff like that... >,> It's definitely spread quite far. X) Lol. Anyways, don't tell anyone I told you that. *Looks around* >.> <.< >.> <.< v.v They might stop using it if you do. *Winks* >,^ Lol. :P

sorohanro responds:
