MastaBrad responds:

sure, you can use this song if you want for whatever reason. I'm really surprised how much attention this song got. I could have done much better. I gues it was just the right time kinda thing. thanks for the reviews all.

Hmm

when i hear this the first thing that comes to mind is a funeral and its snowing out side

Not so much depressing in my opinion

and the reason i say so is because there are too many, what sounds to me, major scale progressions in the bells.

The pads you used gave a depressing feeling at first, but when the bells came in with the additional synth coming to its side, the major scale used gave it more of a feeling of realization. An epiphoney if you will (if i even spelled that right lol).

There was definately a sadness to this piece, true enough, but not to the point to where it was depressing.

In fact i found this one to be quite the opposite, i find it to be invigorating. The bells to me are trying to say "What was done is done, you must look up and move on, and repent for your mistakes."

Again, this song is unlike most I hear, but that speaks well for your originalty, AND diversity in my opinion.

Another great piece of work,
and another 5 from me, in a small attempt to get this the respect it deserves.

(Some people might look down on this, but do not ever let that stop you. This track as well as the Shootout one i just reviewed, shows me you are quite the capable musician. Everyone has their strenghts and weaknesses, and this style of music happens to be your strong suit. Keep it up!)

Oh, I almost forgot, i never left any constructive criticism >:( i shall correct this!

The bells in my opinion were a bit loud, but only by just a wee bit. Had you've turned them down just a hair, i would not have any complaints about this song other than the fact that its too short!

Keep it up.

LP

MastaBrad responds:

hey thanks for the reply, I didnt realize how powerful the song is or how much potential it had. I pretty much was in a sad mood, trying to find sounds to explain it. thanks for the criticism, I enjoy all i can get.

Church bells?

Well I think I found a NG musician who is the most original on NG. Now a song with church bells? What's next in your next song? I can't even think of one. You are very creative in making music. No brainer..orginality a 10/10. Diversity..well it is repetitous, but the song was short so it was not annoying to hear the bells again and again. Would have been if it was a 5 min song. Clarity...those bells made the mood of the song depressing. You were bang on your description. Should be in a war movie where it shows the terrible results of war. Overall an 8/10. I like the cheerier songs more, but that is just my opinion. Your making songs quite quickly. I actually just submitted one too. It's called loneliness..anger..sadness and I thought that song was depressing. Yours beats mine on the depressing factor. So I will give you a 4/5 fair enough?

MastaBrad responds:

thank you, even though i'm orignal i suppose i still feel like i need to find my style. I didnt realize this song would get quite the attention. I make a lot of trance songs, everyone is like, yea that sounds cool. then when i make these kind of songs, it seems to reach out more to people and i get quite a lot of feedback. thanks again ill check out your song.
