I LOVE the art direction here, but there's some stuff I see that's left to be desired. The voice acting is a bit dull and sounds like they were done on the 1st or 2nd take, but for the most part it's passable.
My big gripe is with the writing. The story is interesting enough, but there's so much lacking!
I get that it's only the 1st episode and it's only 6-7 minutes, but you should be able to convey at least some character depth in that time. I got no sense of the characters here, and the only thing I learned about them is that they're a family and the girl's name is Haley. I think you should aim to make more things clear about them like their personality, motivations, development, etc.
I also just really disliked the writing/dialogue. It's a bad thing for a character to say one line like "Not bad, kid. Not bad." then follow it up with a rewording of the previous phrase like
"Say, that wasn't so bad, was it?"-make sure to avoid that in the future.
I also see a lot of continuity errors. Like how come the ghost can pass through walls and such, but he can also interact with objects or bump into humans? I mean it's up to you if you want to write something like that, but try to write it in such a way where the viewer doesn't notice it or isn't put off by it; I know I was. Also, they said there was a party upstairs, but there's not a single sound when they enter the house. You would expect at least some "oonst-oonst-oonst-oonst" to go on in the backround. Combine this with a heavy lack of any exposition or context and you have most of my problem with the film.
Though these are just a few gripes I had. Overall, I really admired the character design, art direction and animation throughout. Great job, but there should always be room to improve.
