Reviews for "Starship Goldfish Pilot"

Overall, another rousing success to spy good animator's showing content they created here on newgrounds. The art was good and animation held no flaw that i could spy as I watched. I was left with a few questions regarding each character but knowing it's more of a comedy show reminded me that those questions would more than likely be left unanswered. The character's are also slightly bland in the modern troupe of entertainment.

To give us a character morally and intellectually deficit is a lost art as it is something that would have been entertaining years back but nowadays falls short of people's interest. The robot's obvious purpose is to control the idiocy of the captain and the station girl being alone for a decade seems completely ridiculous regardless of how that is meant to propel the story.

However, in the end these are my opinions. Do not let my words ruin your creative works.

Art 7/10
Sound 7/10
Comedy 6/10
Story 6/10
Characters 4/10

With writing this solid, I have confidence you'll be able to pull off a new format. Good work.

I don't think there's anything funny about the main character being a violently stupid person. And here I use the word "person" liberally, there's zero character development. In fact, every character is a very obvious trope with no other aspects. Also no plot to speak of. The art is uninspired, but passable.

This is tremendous work.
Everything in this pilot feels organic and well-paced.
I can see the amount of work that got into this piece of art.
Animation and characters are clean, unique and distinctive.
Yet you might miss one element:
world details. That is details, that tell about the world around the lore, without the lore having to explain it. Things that happen passively or actively in the background.
You will notice this on second viewing.
But exactly these things make series like Rick and Morty, Final Space, any older Pixar movie or series like Futurama so beloved. There is always something new to find when rewatching.
Your jokes are made to stick and the trio is well-balanced.
If you want to make a good series, you have it.
If you want to make it great there is a small grain of salt missing.
Thank you for this enjoyable pilot!

I like this version and how it looks.
