For a VERY brief second, right off the bat..I thought of Star Trek. But that was blasted out of my mind, and was reminded of the beautiful "hippy" chick I dated. She gave the best...well. She was also really romantic. And I, was awkward with romance. Ah well, it was a great stepping stone. I'm married with 3 kids. :D

You're very good at the way you introduce your instruments into a progression, firestorm. The piano motif was a great touch - you seem to not only know how to write chords, but also which instruments to choose for what parts of the piece to evoke certain emotions. It really is a great skill - you stand out among other orchestral writers in that way.
For intstance, the fact that you chose only one voice of high-end piano (with soft harmonies) at first complimented the song's air-y tone, whereas some people would get carried away with the composition and try to write an entire piano score in the background; that wouldn't have worked.
Keep doing what you're doing, man. I look forward to more music from you.

the beginning makes me think of Star Trek...just for the first 20 seconds, you get 5 points of 10.
The rest is so pretty I'll double that...10/10.
