Reviews for "Phantom Reverse #6"

Again you managed to make a great ending ;)
You were right, this story can't take place in a timeline because there aren't any connections with the other ones. Looking forward to Death Falling!

JackAstral responds:

Thanks! There are some loose connections ;- )

Cool Ending dude. It was a little obvious that Julius went back in time after you mentioned the time machine in the earlier episodes. I was a little surprised that the characters didn't realize the teacher was Asa's mom too. Other than that stuff. Other than those minor blemishes it was a great Finish. once again a worthy series to add to your already impressive collection of yours! Can't wait for "Death Falling" Keep it up dude!!! 5 stars and favorited! :D

JackAstral responds:

Thanks ! I'm really, really excited about Death Falling. Story wise and character wise it's definitely the best I have. I'm trying something really weird and different with the visuals too - and then I'm also making big changes like being able to save and resume, having a TONNE of interactive elements, and a bigger (smart phone dimensions) screen size

Hmmm, throwing that out there at the last episode is disappointing and a gimmick.

JackAstral responds:

Which part do you mean? If you go back and play the earlier episodes you'll see that everything was set up :-B

i really liked the ending of this game and a sequel to alula falling...you been doing great games until here oh btw i guess in the collection of the phantom reverse there is the alternative ending..oh btw add a secret badge in the collection ;) also if u complete each episode add like a badge complete episode 6 or any episode

JackAstral responds:

Thanks !

Major spoilers ahead; read at your own risk...

Okay, after playing several of your games, I had expected for this story to end so very badly. All the heroes die, the villains wins, so much negative feelings; the usual that you seem to like making in your works.

But then you surprise me! All the heroes live, evil is thwarted, the story ends in a good way. This is the type of story that I enjoy. Cause even in the darkest moments, there's a light at the end of the tunnel waiting to be found. It's often really hard to let go of things like family (I should know, because in the last six years four of my closest relatives died). Yeah you'll miss them, and life is completely unfair. But at the same time, you know that their out of pain and are in a better place. And yeah, it's better to do the right thing than be a jerk, because you never know when karma (good or bad) will come back to reward you or bite you in the butt.

So compared to other works like Alula Falling (with a bad bittersweet ending) or Chaos Girl (where evil just wins no matter what) this kind of story is far more enjoyable. At least, to me they are. One minor complaint I have (but not enough to lower the rating) is that your characters seem to studder periodically, even in situations that don't call for it.

So thanks for making a more enjoyable story with a happier ending. Keep up the good work.

JackAstral responds:

Thanks! That's really cool to hear - I went through a couple of versions of the ending before settling on this one. I think it's a pretty good mix of a happy, hopeful ending, with just a tinge of darkness
