Reviews for "Vernon Jane - F*ck Me (Official Music Video)"

The music was ok. The animation was good too, but I can't stand repeated clips.

I love the music video but at the start there was this high pitch disconnect sound that ruin the flow of the music and the animation while it got good in the beginning but....when it got further it felt like you got tired of doing it and went with art piece and insane ammount of flashing between them. It ruin the music and the video as a whole.

So in other work in the 1st half was good animation but jarring music but 2nd half it reverse to good music but bad animation what the heck happen ?

what the...

Looks really well made, albeit a few too many repeated frames and shots. Unfortunately as a music video for this song it's lacking in any connection or significance. If its a song about being used and rekindling something that was lost, why does none of the imagery fit? The male creatures faces are all the same as the cages they hold the women in but there's no significance to that which is a shame because it's not a bad visual metaphor. Also calling back to a really boring shot of wearing a coat and beanie and essentially being covered up as a symbol of freedom is almost the opposite of what the song is singing about so that's just odd.

In all honesty if this were just a music video for a generic punk song it'd probably be hitting enough symbolism beats to be pretty good but it's not, so I honestly can't tell what beat it's suppose to be hitting. Honestly the one good moment in it is her reaching to taste that misshapen tumor. It's actually a solid shot that does a good job of putting a visual to the theme of the song.

Feels like a cliche amateur wannabe metal song. Lyrics don't flow or make a lot of sense, even in a poetic context. The video is simply grotesque. I get the imagery, but it's just too sensational with no substance. It goes to the predictable cookie cutter finale of release and power and freedom with absolutely no details leading to that point. Just bondage and the freedom with no body of content. Like paint by numbers music video of images that are known to get a reaction. Grotesque for the sake of being grotesque and getting shock value is not art. Just feels commercial through and through, 90's style.
