This is simply the perfect allegory for the plight mankind is currently facing. It's a problem I've been trying to come to terms with for some time now, and I'm happy to see someone else facing the same concerns. It seems that no matter how far we get with technology, and how much good mankind can do, someone is always trying to stifle that goodness for the sake of some weird economic game that never ends. These people with so much power seem so concerned about their own dumb games that they completely miss the point of technological innovation in the first place. We're supposed to advance technology because it advances the species, yet all we do is melt these great innovations, that could do so much to improve the world, down into mere shells of their former glory that can more easily make a buck for those at the top.
It baffles me how self-centered and short-sighted these so-called "captains of industry" are, while those who create these technologies are left to see their creations bastardized until their practically useless to the greater good. It's an idea that seems so hard to share with people, and I sincerely hope that this short can somehow spread that message a little further. Truly a modern masterpiece here on Newgrounds, and I couldn't be more glad to have seen it. Truly a must-watch.
