Good story with a nice little tale to tell and a good ending too. Nice art and pleasant music too.

since this is linear with no choices really I think this probably would have been better suited in the Movies section perhaps.

Some minour issues. The text for some reason crawwwwwwls sloooooooly really sloooooowly when anyone talks. There are some transitions that could have used a little extra sentence like "you decide to explore while you have time" or "you head to the library at her advice." little things like that help with the sudden moves.

Great work and hope to see more of this.

Thank you. I may just get rid of the text sound for the VN version of this since it bogs the game down on browsers( that's javascript for you). Thank you for the feedback its greatly appreciated.

and yeah text was a lil too slow there should be an option for text speed. Its only slow when a character is talking, outside of that you can fast forward text by clicking twice.

Honestly I wished there was more to this, I thought this would make a pretty nice visual novel/game and I was really invested into the characters. I was hoping there'd be a twist here or there.

Good job in making this, it was beautiful, and I can only wish for this to be expanded upon. More options, different route paths, good and bad endings, unlockable things like doing a side quest or giving an item to someone or helping someone reach their small/large goal, like with the tanuki perhaps.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I do wish I could have added more, unfortunately, I was on a deadline on top of having to keep it under a half hour so the people who were judging it for the game jam could get through it easily. I don't know why the text with sound is so slow, I'm guessing it's due to the script I used for it. I may just remove that in a future update so it's playable on web browsers. In the meantime, I would download it. Thank you for the feedback.

I loved the music and the story seemed to be ok, but one thing wrong about it all. NEED PART 2!
Seriously. This looks like the start of a full on actual book, a pro-log. A man seeking his place and a fresh start and a woman seeking to remove the curse upon her and shunned by all at first glance. I would love to see more of this.
