Reviews for "Blood Opera: Father of Flies"

Dude, the concept of a poll comic is sweet! Where can I go to find more of this?

RamLama responds:

Ha... thanks! You can catch the installments for Blood Opera pt 2 through e-mail subscription (see www.pollcomics.com), on Twitter (@pollcomics), on Tumblr (ramlama), and on Imgur (username: RamLama). If you poke me on any of those sites, I'll add you to my list of folks to tag.

an excellent story but it is lessened by your art style. thats not intended to be an insult. it just seems your art style is more light hearted and comedic looking and thats not bad. it just doesn't seem to lend it's self to drama all that well. other than that it was well composed and had good music. not bad.

RamLama responds:

Ah, for sure. Visual style will definitely impact how a thing is interpreted, and you're not the only one that thought that part seemed off. I'm kind of fond of the contrast... but I also kinda have weird tastes.

I love it, from the drawing to the music.

RamLama responds:

Thanks! One of my friends was debating me on the music choice, but most of the comments on it so far have been positive. Glad I stuck with it!

Very unique animation style, and the music is amazing!

RamLama responds:

Ah, thank you! Yeah... I was really happy to find this band. Not all of their stuff works well as soundtrack- some of the vocals almost feel like low fidelity recordings- but the stuff that does is a lot of fun.

Animation was good.
A creepy and interesting story.
Though, I didn't like how it ended with a cliffhanger.

I wished the characters and backgrounds had more depth.
It would look better if the line quality on the characters and backgrounds were thinner.

Overall, it was interesting to watch.

RamLama responds:

Thanks for the input! I'll take your advice on line quality and depth into consideration.

I've started roughing out the follow-up video. If I'm able to pull it off, it should give a little more context. I'm not 100% confident since I'm new to animation, but I'm looking forward to trying.
