Fantastic. The idea of a machine that keeps the war going is phenomenal, the cogwheels are perfect. The final scene, the grinder drives it all home. One thing...you probably know this, but the soldiers did not wear the masks all the time, only when there was a gas attack. I can understand why you used them this way though, it is a very powerful symbol of ww1.
