Hey man, you're still working on this, right? It's a really nice Idea, and I think you can make this go very far. Would be a shame if you abandoned it... Anyways, I enjoyed the demo (As always), and can't wait to see what you do next with this!
Tfw you only play game because of the word sex
no sex scenes
Its kind of funny you do all this buildup and them bullshitting, then it went it gets time to actually do something, well, thats not in the demo.
I like you paid attention to your dialogue and tone for each character.
I agree with ylsw that the hero's inner monologues make him come across fairly unlikable and kinda douchey. Thats the biggest problem I see so far with what you have.
I can't wait for the finished product because this demo was intriguing enough for me to crave more.
Pros:
The characters are nicely rendered and I really enjoy the difference in personalities between the girls and how they interact with each other. I think you've got the art aspect down well enough so that a good storyline would carry the game.
Cons:
The protagonist seems to be a typical douchebag in his inner thoughts that the player has no control of and I find that hard to relate to. There doesn't seem to be enough choices in dialogue currently either.
Suggestions:
(Romantic Options)I know that you have already written this game as a heterosexual romance but I think it would be really cool and even open up your audience by giving the player a choice of being a male or a female. I know this would tweak the dialogue a bit but i find that it is usually worth at as you are including a larger demographic of players. There are so many dating sims out there where the player is a male protagonist and all of the romantic options are females. I am a bisexual female and I would love to have the option to play as a girl and pursue the women in the game.
(Protagonist) I feel that like I had said before the protagonist is a bit of a shallow douche. I get if that is the person that you want him to be but i think it could just be dialed back a bit and give the player more of a say in how the protagonist thinks and feels. Right now he is a bit unlikable. Also if you do consider giving the player the option of being a man or woman you would want a personality that could easily go both ways, (not too typically masculine or feminine).
I hope you take my suggestions into consideration but even if you stick with the way you are going I believe this will still be a successful game. Keep up the good work and good luck. (:
