Nice job, this was fun.
The atmosphere, style and the feel of the game are all top-notch! Unfortunately it still felt more as an introduction to a cool larger game than a self-contained short one.
I'd love us to get some closure in the form of an escape sequence, final fight, something that would give us payoff for all the goosebumps accrued while walking around and explain a bit of the mystery.
It would be great to see this game elaborated upon.

The message is pretty good. I can interpret that it makes reference to death. Very short but still good.
