There's nothing inherently wrong with political correctness. The issue is with the extremes of the issue. People who rage and hate against others, and radical versions of equality fighters (example is radical feminism, which is more like misandry than a fight for equal treatment). There's so much of both of these types of people out there that even the term "Social Justice Warrior" has acquired a bad connotation, and has a reputation for being more like the latter of these two extremes. But that's not what it really is. Real SJW's fight for EQUALITY, not for reversing the current system so that the people on the "bottom" are now on the "top". Political correctness in its optimal form is just when people respect each other, regardless of things like gender, sexual orientation, or race.
In my opinion (this may or may not be how it was intended), this movie shows the ridiculousness of BOTH of those extremes in at least some way. The hateful side is spoken out against by what's actually happening in the story (mention of wealth gap and women being harassed online and such), while the other side is mocked by the ridiculousness of the whole thing, and the reasons people are being offended. Tie that all together with great art, animation, and imagination, and you get all five of my stars.
