I find this artistic in a way. The puzzles take a few tries (For me) Before you get used to it. Pretty great game.
About-face houses a nice puzzle/platform genre combination. I liked it's simple design, and its not-so-simple game mechanic.
Into it, but the controls are super iffy and make it way too difficult to play. The concept is great, the execution needs a bit of polish
I'm usually inactive on this site, but I feel compelled to write a review for this. I'm usually not a fan of the "switching between layers" type of platformer. It's a gimmick that's been run into the ground. But this game by far blows them all out of the water. The level design is masterful. The levels feel organic and take full advantage of the player's abilities. Each jump you make must be calculated and precise. You've got to think in multiple dimensions to beat each level, which tests both your mental aptitude and dexterity. The difficulty is perfect, and increases at a natural pace. The story is a little cliche, but outside of that, the game itself is beautiful. I've played many a puzzle-platformer in my time, but this might be the only puzzle-platformer that is literally deserving of the title. Each stage serves as both a puzzle (in figuring out where and when to jump to reach the end) as well as a platforming challenge. You have something wonderful in your hands, and I would love to pay some cash to see this idea fleshed out and expanded upon.
