Reviews for "How To Animate Walking"

nice

that was good keep up ur tutorials it will give newer people knowledge and we wont have to see crapy sticks anymore

Usually I get annoyed by these...

But you took a completely different approach. You explained things and you went into detail with your images. Very good tutorial over all, but unfortunately not so entertaining as alot of other things on the portal, obviously. Very interesting none the less. 5!

I think its great it really helped me.Thanks

Thanks alot there
It is great it really helped me animate walking.
No more has to be said.

good

this is great
it really helped me out
but you know when your animating the legs
and one leg crosses over the other and then they
kinda get 'stuck' together and u cant keep the moving cos then you screw up the leg
ho do i get around this
should give each leg a layer?
or just erase both legs each from and then draw them back in again at the position i want?

Stew-Ped responds:

I see what ya mean. I used to try to just erase the leg 'on top' of the other one, and leave the other leg standing, but it ended up looking funny after a while. Now I just erase both of them and redraw them both. Try it a bunch of ways and see what works for you. I haven't tried in different layers yet...

Bravo!

Great tutorial on stick figure arm and leg movement. Will you make this a series, or is this a one time only deal? Fantastic skills! Oh, does this mean that there will be no more crappy Stick Flash? I am trembling just thinking about it. Thanks for the tutorial!

Stew-Ped responds:

I'm thinking of taking it farther and making a few more of these, but I'm not sure on what. I've noticed that people can make things fly and what not, but walking is really difficult for some. I'm pretty good at syncing lips to speaking so maybe I'll do that next.
