Reviews for "Cathode Raybits 2"

I like the game, but can you please give the player the option to disable the dash ability? I keep accidentally activating it and it kills me more often than the enemies do (Besides, what purpose does it serve? It doesn't make you go that much faster anyways and takes away control from you until after it deactivates)

Other than that, the game presents a difficulty that is seldom tried nowadays, which is good. The game nearly always offers you the ability to avoid damage if you're smart about your movements (it especially gives you these options as you acquire more weapons). Very good job on giving nearly all the enemies their own movement patterns and designs (it keeps the game from getting old).

And I'm old enough to recognize the style (hopefully others will be too) and I've so fat found no glitches. I'd gladly play through the whole game, but to get so far and then have the dash ability jet you into a pit, it just feels like I'm being cheated in that regard, even though no one else seems to have that problem.

Anyways, great game!

SinclairStrange responds:

I'll look into that, I could possibly disable that or map it too another key so that doesn't happen :) I'll prolly do that in a patch update :)

I'm glad other than that you enjoyed thee game! :D

Why would you have FADING BLOCKS?! What are you? Some kind of monster?

Anyways, i understand where are you coming from and you did a great job at that, sir.

SinclairStrange responds:

AHH yes. Disappearing block puzzles, the bane of every Mega Man fan's existence. (That and capsule fights.)

Aye, retro difficulty isn't for everyone but hopefully it's not too hard :)

Wow, this is seriously one of the hardest games I have played in my entire life. The most annoying thing was how the enemies respawned. They just kept knocking me back into more enemies. I had to kill these same guys over and over again. It's not like it was easy to kill him. Even a high powered charge didn't finish most of them off.

I'd think with respawning enemies they'd at least be taken down in one hit. I have no idea how to beat the first boss. Nothing I try damages him. I don't even think he has a health bar! For those of those who are masters, only you should try this out.

SinclairStrange responds:

I don't think it's any harder than the later classic Mega Man games. (Mega Man 4 onwards.) Some enemies don't re-spawn and I'm not sure in the next patch to take out the respawning enemies although that'd defeat it taking homage to Mega Man.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you've not really played old NES games (or classic Mega Man for that fact) They're well known for being rather difficult which for me (and many others) is the appeal of them although I know it's not to everyone's liking.

I'm going to guess you're on the Electro Bot's mid boss, you aim for it's eyes. :)

Love the rockman style. Well made game!

SinclairStrange responds:

Why thankies! I'm glad you enjoyed :)

I give up this game is too hard for me. the guy reminds me of master chief. and the game is really common to final comando http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/674249 which was much much better, because it had options like pause mute upgrades collectibles and so on.

SinclairStrange responds:

Well someone completely and utterly missed the point. I guess you're just too young, still covered with spots and marmite are we?

And secondly, someone also can't read because you can in fact pause and mute the game but what kid reads now a days eh?
