Reviews for "Lampshade"

I think this is a great game (I think) with a lot of hard but fair puzzles. The four set of levels ups the ante considerably, but I found solving it rewarding.

But is the fifth set (in complete darkness) meant to be solvable? I recognized the first levels and I feel like I can get some distance in it, but it stops being fun when you are feeling around for each jumps that have become nigh-impossible. If it just how the game ends, that is a real letdown.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed at least parts of the game :)
It was the point that the player should recognize the levels in the 5th chapter as you point out that you did on the first levels. I was hoping having gone through the levels earlier would make it solvable in complete darkness, but I can see why it would be frustrating to solve. I'll work on making that part easier as soon as possible.

I enjoyed this from the beginning to the end. Definitely worth an hour or two it took me to finish it.

I can't recommend this enough, like holy hell nostalgia hit me hard in this game and it was executed so well. There is nothing that I can recommend to make this better. The atmosphere was perfect, the sound was amazing, the difficulty was just right for this style of game, and the art was simple yet fantastic. If I could give more stars, I would, I loved this game. I did a Let's Play of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8lsS7p3YHg, I had to cut it before I wanted to, but I've continued to play it and I just love it so much. Amazing work.

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
I enjoyed watching the video while it lasted, it did end rather abruptly :)

I love how much this game pissed me off! Just by taking away the simple sense of SIGHT. The music and atmosphere really made me go back to childhood. I got a mix of Zelda and a couple other games from this. I died and died and died, but finally started to figure out the patterns.

Thank you for making this.

I haven't beaten it YET, but I WILL!

So dark. The darkness is like a character in this game. It's everpresent, malevolent, and oppressive. The game manages to convey the sense of being trapped in a lightless maze and having to feel one's way through, without simply being a bunch of irritating blind jumps. Combined with the poetry and the visuals, it manages to evoke the childhood fear of being left alone in the dark in an eerie and unnerving way.
